L’Oréal is betting on microbiome skincare with the acquisition of Copenhagen-based probiotic analysis firm Lactobio.
The acquisition, introduced on Dec. 4, will enable L’Oréal to construct upon its microbiome analysis, which the corporate says it has been conducting for 20 years. It is going to utilise Lactobio probiotic and postbiotic components to develop topical merchandise with advantages for pores and skin and hair, in keeping with the corporate.
Based in 2017, Lactobio creates probiotic and postbiotic private-label skin-care components. It additionally operates its personal probiotic skin-care model Bak.
